Pastor Ed McBride, his wife Maryann, and their two sons, Carl and Cameron, were members of our parent church, New Life Baptist Church of Albuquerque from 1994 to 2010, when Ed was called to start a ministry dedicated to military personnel and veterans.
He is a disabled veteran, retiring from the Marine Corps in 1982 as a result of his injuries. His pre-Marine Corps profession and education was in the field of law enforcement and he continued with that career until God called him to full time ministry in 1999. He has served on the staffs of both Temple Baptist Church of Albuquerque and New Life Baptist Church of Albuquerque. He also served as a Police Chaplain for the Albuquerque Police Department and the New Mexico State Police for nearly a decade.
